I do not hear any sound in my course?

Only portions of certain OSS Academy® courses contain sound and are typically found in videos. We do not embed audio sound on every slide of a course.

An exception is our Spanish for Law Enforcement Distance #2110 course that contains a large volume of sound devices.

A common discussion within the online training world for adult learners: which is best - voice-over vs. no voice-over?  For many learners, an audible human voice while reading and studying is a distraction, as the voice is either to fast or to slow for the visual learner. Adding to this challenge, embedding a voice-over of the same words you are actually reading can be equally frustrating.

OSS Academy® embraces an approach of embedding sound where sound enhances the learning experience. For example, videos contain sound, some progress challenges have sound, etc.
