Welcome to TAC Online Model Policies and Procedures
The Texas Association of Counties (TAC) is pleased to provide no-cost access to model public safety polices for your county. TAC has partnered with OSS, a Texas based leading provider of emergency services policies, to offer this benefit for your county law enforcement, jail, and communications operations. 

The policies are updated regularly to meet current federal and state laws and regulations as well as provide current and best practices for law enforcement operations. These updates include requirements promulgated by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards, Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, Texas Attorney General and various Texas Codes. In addition, the policies include guidance from federal and nationally recognized law enforcement organizations..
